Modern office worker Lin San has an accident while working overtime and wakes up in ancient times! To survive, he takes the name "Lin San" and becomes a servant in the Xiao Mansion. But trouble hits right away—eldest lady Xiao Yuruo seems demure but is secretly plotting to take over the family business, forcing him to forge account books for the clan elders. Second lady Xiao Yushuang is mischievous and clever, always using him as a "playmate" to skip classes or sneak out to the temple fair. Using modern workplace skills, Lin San navigates the mansion's intrigues: he helps Xiao Yuruo cover her business plans and cleans up Xiao Yushuang's messes. As they grow closer, he learns Xiao Yuruo's toughness is for family, while Xiao Yushuang's playfulness is to escape an arranged marriage. When a modern straight man meets two ancient ladies, a hilarious yet touching "servant survival battle" begins. Little does he know, his time travel is linked to the Xiao family's lost "business secret manual"...
