Lin Chuan, a modern overworked office worker, dies from overtime and wakes up as Li Goudan, the starving youngest son of a poor family in Lijia Village in 1960. His mother is bedridden with a severe cough, siblings are gnawing on tree bark from hunger, and his father has vanished after working odd jobs. Just as the family is about to starve, he discovers his portable warehouse can connect to the modern world! He secretly brings back instant noodles and rice to save them, but new troubles arise: the village bully tries to steal their food, a neighbor gossips that he’s “possessed by evil spirits,” and his father suddenly returns with a stranger, threatening to sell the siblings for money! Lin Chuan uses modern supplies from the warehouse to fight back, but as his family’s life improves, rumors spread faster. Can he keep his secret and protect his family through the hard times?
