On a snowy New Year's Eve, Lin Xiaoman and her brother Lin Shen carry their mother—unconscious from a high fever—through empty streets, tears freezing on their cheeks. On this night meant for reunion, their only thought is "saving Mom." When reporter Su Xiao, chasing a breaking story, stumbles upon them, Lin Shen is arguing with a clinic guard over registration fees. As the desperation of saving their mother collides with Su Xiao's obsession to find her brother, this New Year's Eve becomes a race: one to hold onto family, the other to reclaim a lost bloodline. And the secret behind the identical faces? It's creeping out—slowly, as their mother's breath grows weaker…
