Uncle Chen, a factory janitor, unexpectedly saves Lin Xiaoyu, the chairman's daughter, who was nearly injured in the workshop. Thinking it was a heroic act, he is wrongly accused by workshop director Wang Guiqiang of deliberately damaging equipment, not only demanding huge compensation but also planning to fire him. Facing the unjust charges, Uncle Chen endures silently until his son, Chen Tianming, the new factory director, suddenly appears in the workshop, exposes Wang Guiqiang's frame-up in public, and introduces Uncle Chen as his father. It turns out that Uncle Chen had hidden his identity and started from the grassroots in the factory to train his son. Now that the truth is revealed, Wang Guiqiang pays for his snobbery, and Uncle Chen's simple kindness and the reversal of his hidden identity lead to a satisfying conclusion to this workplace injustice.
