Lin Zhaodi is known as the “poorest landlady” in the alley: she rides a chipped tricycle to collect rent every day, always covers utility bills for tenants, and even eats pickled vegetables with steamed buns herself. Until a business tycoon shows up with a demolition contract, trying to take her “shabby courtyard”——neighbors are shocked to discover that this woman who always helps others is actually an invisible wealthy person holding the property rights to half a commercial street! The reason she refuses to sell the old alley is a promise to her late husband: to keep a “shelter” for those without umbrellas. When the “ shabby landlady”’s identity is revealed, how will the tenants she has warmed repay her kindness?
