Qin Shanhe, the world's richest man, tired of corporate wars, retires to be a "foot massage dad" in an old alley. His only care is Lin Yang, the orphan he adopted. Learning Lin will attend a wealthy family's recognition banquet, he brings homemade chicken soup (simmered for 3 hours) to the event—only to be mocked by Lin's new relatives as a "poor massage guy." Even Lin, to save face, coldly calls him "a neighbor from downstairs." Just as someone knocks his soup over, Qin's secretary bursts in with billions in contracts and media—turns out Qin funded the banquet to test if Lin had forgotten his roots. When he pulls out a diamond-studded "World's Richest Man" card, the patriarch who despised his shabbiness panics instantly; Lin, who just pushed him away, finally blurts out "Dad" with red eyes.
