Lin Shen was once the legendary "Night Owl" of basketball, but he retired after a severe injury protecting his teammate, hiding in a rental and using green screen effects to draw three-point lines he'd never shoot again. Until late autumn of the third year, a man with a worn basketball and muddy pants knocked on his door: "I searched 107 cities and asked everyone you helped—just to say: Night Owl's trace shouldn't end on the green screen." The man was the teenager Lin had saved years ago, now coming with a professional league invitation and revealing a three-year lie: the "career-ending injury" was made up by teammates to spare his guilt, and the green screen traces he'd drawn for three years? They'd long been everyone's symbol of waiting.
