Lin Xuan, a hermit master of Xuantian Sect who is about to die of old age, suddenly binds to the "Luck Rebate System"—as long as he gives luck items to Su Xiaotang, the female disciple isolated by the sect, he can get huge rewards and even extend his life. However, Su Xiaotang is ostracized by the entire sect for being labeled a "bad luck bringer." To survive, Lin Xuan has to grit his teeth and gift her: a thousand-year ginseng is thrown away by her as "rotten grass," an ancient jade is mistaken for a "fake used to scam money," and even secretly adding spiritual rice to her meal is suspected of "poisoning"! While facing the system's death countdown, Lin Xuan also deals with Su Xiaotang's wariness and misunderstanding. Unexpectedly, the more "clumsy" his gifting attempts are, the more he unlocks Su Xiaotang's hidden identity as the "Chosen Luck Bearer"—it turns out she's the sealed favorite of Heaven, and his "forced gifting" is actually a "fate redemption" arranged by the system.
