Su Xiao (played by Meng Na), a tough-as-nails workplace leader, falls into crisis when her key project materials are stolen by rivals. Just then, Lin Chuan (played by Ye Haoran), a "good puppy-style" assistant, appears—attentive as if custom-made: he blocks unwanted drinks for her, retrieves her lost earrings from the office couch, and even warms her favorite osmanthus cake for her late-night overtime. But when Su Xiao accidentally finds a photo of her missing boyfriend (from three years ago) in Lin Chuan’s phone, all "thoughtfulness" turns out to be a plan: he’d pretended to be her "obedient puppy" to uncover the truth about her boyfriend’s sudden disappearance. By then, Su Xiao realizes her long-frozen heart has already softened for this "stand-in"—the man who came with a lie, but stayed with a feeling neither of them expected: they were falling for each other.
