Gu Jingshen appears cold, but he's closed off due to his mother's death. However, he's moved by Su Wan's obsession and resilience toward spices during their time together. Yet when Gu discovers Su Wan's secret of being "smell-less", and Su Wan finds out that his mother's death is linked to the culprit who caused her to lose her sense of smell, their trust collapses.
