Young celestial master Ji Wan rose to fame with her "ghost-hunting live streams," but secretly uses the camera to resolve the obsessions of the dead. Her peace is shattered when police officer Gu Zhao arrives—his sister is caught in a series of missing persons cases, and the talismans at the scene match the mark from the massacre of Ji Wan's family years ago. When the former childhood sweethearts reunite, Gu Zhao has long forgotten that Ji Wan once gave half her soul to save him, dismissing her as a "fraud"; Ji Wan, however, dares not reveal her soul is fading, and she could disappear at any moment. Forced to collaborate, they solve one "ghost case" after another, only to discover the dark magic behind the disappearances is targeting Gu Zhao. Ji Wan must make a final choice: save the man she loves, or cling to her own life……
