Shen Feifang, a mountain herbalist, rescues the severely wounded Xiao Ye. Love blooms as they live together in a bamboo cottage. But Xiao Ye is the heir of a marquis family, who came to avenge his clan—and his initial motive to approach Feifang is to steal the "Resurrection Grass" guarded by her medical clan. When Feifang finds her sincerity is a tool for revenge, and Xiao Ye struggles between hatred and love, she stands outside the marquis' mansion holding wild chrysanthemums in the rain, while he stands inside with the imperial marriage edict. Neither admits: he secretly added candied dates to her herbal soup, and drew her braiding hair countless times in his revenge letters. Will their love wither like wild flowers, or fragrance through the cold winter?
