Lin Xiaoman, a plus-sized pastry chef, is forced into a blind date and mistakenly sits with Gu Jingshen, a cold CEO there to reject the date for his brother. Gu intends to leave quickly but is touched when Xiaoman, mocked for "eating too much as a fat girl", smiles and gives out pastries: "Delicious things belong to lovely people." Later, when Xiaoman is eliminated from a pastry competition due to her size, Gu secretly gets her a wildcard spot. Xiaoman heals Gu's childhood trauma of parental neglect with her taro cake.
