Lin Xiaoman, an overworked ad professional, has been plagued by bad luck lately—she’s yelled at by clients after working overtime until she throws up, her three-year boyfriend breaks up with her, and even her two-year-old cat runs away. One late night, while squatting in the stairwell of her rental eating a cold bun, a cute little girl with a cherry hairpin suddenly appears, tugging her衣角 and saying in a crisp voice: “Sister, I’m your home’s little lucky star, here to chase away all your bad luck!” The little girl seems to have “superpowers”: she helps Xiaoman win over a tough maternal client with a cat video, find her lost cat, and even reconcile with her mother, who’d been estranged due to a misunderstanding. But just as Xiaoman finally embraces life again, the little girl suddenly disappears, leaving only a note: “I’m the ‘you’ you hid in your heart. From now on, you have to be your own lucky star～”
