Lin Chuan, a cultural relic restorer, accidentally awakens Su Wantang— a 300-year-old "imperial concubine ancestor"附着 to a phoenix hairpin—while restoring the Tomb of Concubine Wan of the Ming Dynasty. This concubine not only carries the grievance of being wrongfully accused and executed but also recognizes Lin Chuan as the reincarnation of A Zhao, the imperial guard who died shielding her in a past life. However, Lin Chuan's fiancée Zhou Ning looks exactly like the "poisonous concubine" who framed Su Wantang back then! With old grudges unavenged and new love budding, Su Wantang struggles between revenge and reclaiming her lost love after entering modern life. Can Lin Chuan let go of his present ties and respond to this long-overdue true love?
