Su Wanwan, the "mad princess" of the Northern Manor, is famous in the capital—she runs around with half a broken jade, shouting "brother" at everyone, even the emperor thinks she's "too crazy to behave." But no one knows her "madness" is a disguise: three years ago, she witnessed a powerful official colluding with enemies, so she pretended to be crazy to protect the manor and her missing brother. Until the cold-faced Northern Prince Xiao Jingyan returns and sees the clarity in her eyes at a glance. He deliberately pretends to be her "brother" to get close and uncover the truth, but when she throws herself into his arms crying "don't leave, brother," he finds the broken jade is exactly what he gave her years ago! It turns out the "brother" she calls in her madness is him—the one who went missing to save her back then? When the powerful official's men target her, Xiao Jingyan finally understands: what he wants to protect is never the manor's glory, but the girl who pretended to be crazy just to guard him.
