Qing Li, a demon lord sealed by the righteous path a century ago, is accidentally awakened by Lu Zhao, an intern Taoist, with his fingertip blood in a broken temple. Initially wanting to kill him to vent her anger, Qing Li finds that the human's blood can suppress the residual poison from the seal in her body. To break the seal, she's forced to stick to Lu Zhao—using his blood to survive while hiding her identity to help him with demon-subduing tasks. But as they grow closer, Qing Li is shocked to discover Lu Zhao is the reincarnation of the righteous alliance leader who sealed her! Meanwhile, Lu Zhao has secretly fallen for this cold, glamorous yet tsundere "mysterious woman." As past grudges and present bonds intertwine, will they repeat the tragedy or break fate?
