Su Xiaoman, a modern fortune-telling whiz, travels back in time to become Concubine Ning—the most invisible woman in the palace. Determined to lay low and do nothing, she accidentally becomes the “Palace Fortune-Teller” after accurately predicting a maid’s marriage. Soon, the Empress Dowager asks about her longevity, the Empress seeks advice on children, and even the cold-faced Emperor comes to inquire about national destiny. Forced to use modern psychology and half-hearted divination to “get by,” she discovers that the Emperor—who seems distant—has actually been watching her secretly! While trying to stay away from the fight for favor, her laid-back plan is disrupted by the Emperor’s “deliberate approach.” Will her layback life be ruined by the Emperor?
