Fifteen years ago, Lin Wanzhao's father committed suicide after being framed for bankruptcy for exposing Shen Zhennan, the chamber of commerce president, for smuggling. Her mother also died of illness while wandering. Rescued by an opera troupe, she trained hard and became the top songstress "Mengdie" at the Paramount under a new name. Now back in Shanghai, she vows to make Shen Zhennan suffer the pain of losing everything. But when she gets close to Shen's only son Shen Yanqing—a playboy who actually doubts his father's crimes—Shen Zhennan suspects Mengdie's identity and plots a counterattack. Torn between her burning revenge and unexpected feelings, her path of vengeance is destined to be a storm of blood and tears.
