Spicy single mom Lin Wanwan sells breakfast by day and delivers takeout by night to pay her daughter Xiaotang’s tuition. One night, she finds an unconscious amnesiac man, Lu Tingchuan, under a bridge and forces him to be her "family labor"—washing dishes, mopping floors, fixing appliances, even helping with Xiaotang’s art class. Though Lu can’t remember his past, he’s always there for Wanwan: handing her hot congee when she breaks down, shielding her from thugs, and using his business acumen to turn her breakfast stall into a viral hit. Everything changes when a Rolls-Royce pulls up to her stall, and a secretary respectfully calls out, "Mr. Lu." Wanwan is stunned to realize the man who massages her sore waist every night is the CEO of a listed group who’s been missing for six months. Instead of leaving, Lu holds Xiaotang in his arms and presents a property deed: "Wanwan, you picked me as a laborer once. Now I want to 'level up'—to be your husband and Xiaotang’s dad. Actually… three years ago, when I was being chased by debt collectors, you gave me a bowl of hot congee. I’ve never forgotten that."
