Female agent Lin Wan accidentally travels to a poor mountain village in 1985 during a mission. Forced by her vicious aunt to deliver water to Gu Yan, the cold heir of a Beijing elite family, she mistakenly enters his room. To avoid being accused of trespassing, Lin Wan turns the tables, teasing Gu Yan until his ears redden, then flees to the county town with a tattered cotton-padded jacket to set up a stall. But Gu Yan, who’s always been as cold as ice, stares at the rough cloth handkerchief left on his bed—how dare this little village girl, who once pinched his chin and said “Brother is so good,” run away? When Lin Wan is surrounded by local hooligans in the county town, a familiar figure suddenly appears. Gu Yan tugs at his tie, smirking: “Done running? It’s time to settle the score, isn’t it?”
