A young Nian Beast named A Ran, who guards the New Year, accidentally falls to Earth after touching a barrier and is rescued by the poor Lin farming family. Afraid of being seen as a monster, he hides his horns and tail, but his super strength keeps giving him away—drying up a well while watering crops, bending a plowshare while plowing. Though confused, the Lin couple treats him as their own. When a drought strikes, A Ran uses his life fire to summon rain, revealing his true form from exhaustion. To his surprise, the family hugs him and cries: "You're a little immortal, but more importantly, you're our Lin family's child!" From then on, he drops his guard, using his powers to help the Lins open a workshop and grow high-yield crops, turning their shabby house into a "blessed home". Amidst the mortal chaos, he finally understands: "New Year" isn't about guarding the night—it's about staying with loved ones and living热闹ly together.
