During the Republic of China, military governor Gu Zhanchuan just lost a battle—his mansion was in deficit and rivals were plotting against him. When he was desperate, a little girl with two tiny braids, Nianchu, rolled to his door. She claimed to be a "little fairy descending to save the Gu family": using talismans to help Gu avoid assassination, pointing to a dry well where they dug up ancient gold, and even revealing that Gu's jade pendant held his late wife's soul. But when Gu doted on Nianchu as his treasure, he found her wrist wore the exact same jade bracelet his late wife had! Is this cute bun a fairy from heaven, or the "one he's missed"?
