The bloodshed of the Shen family's massacre has haunted Shen Zhaozhao for five years. She hid her identity to join an opera troupe, hiding arsenic in her rouge box, waiting for the day her enemy—warlord Gu Tingchuan—would come to watch the show. But when she took the stage to sing *Farewell My Concubine*, she looked at the young marshal in the audience and recognized Gu Xiaochuan—the boy who used to sneak her osmanthus cakes five years ago. She raised the poisoned wine to stab him, but he grabbed her hand and said, “I didn’t kill your father.” With the truth unclear and love and hate intertwined—Is this play a revenge plot, or a disaster of reunion?
