Shen Qingtang, a neglected concubine's daughter, is forced into the palace as a consort. She faces the imperial concubine's serial plots right after entering—poisoned soup, fake assassins forcing her to jump into the lake. But she refuses to be a helpless victim! She hides her sharpness behind a tender facade: crying red-eyed in front of the emperor to lure the concubine into mistakes, exposing her tribute-swapping scandal at the palace banquet, and even tampering with the fetus-protecting medicine to reverse the "child-killing" accusation. From a neglected nobody to the emperor's favorite "Soft Consort", she climbs up through schemes—she wants not the emperor's love, but the power to control her own fate! When she finally wears the phoenix crown, she smiles as the once arrogant concubine kneels: "In this harem, only the strong make the rules."
