Shen Xingyu just moved into a new apartment, only to find her ex-boyfriend Lu Shiyan—who said "no time for love" half a year ago—now lives next door. What's even more absurd is that he's like a different person: he snatches her favorite sugar-hearted egg in the morning, intercepts her package in the afternoon claiming a "mistake", and even "steals" her cat saying "it came over on its own". Shen thinks he's deliberately picking fights, until one late night she catches Lu staring at her hair tie left at his place, with their anniversary photo as his phone wallpaper. It turns out the breakup was a lie—Lu feared ruining her postgraduate exam and said harsh words on purpose. Now reunited, all his childish "fights" are clumsy attempts to win her back.
