Xiao Su, an Underworld temp, is banished to the mortal world for wrongfully reaping a soul—she must earn 1000 merit points within a year to return, or her soul will vanish. Desperate, she finds unsolved human cases offer the highest merit: one murder case equals 100 points! So she starts an "Underworld Detective" live stream, using Underworld skills to solve crimes: having victims' souls identify killers, tracing karmic lines with the Book of Life and Death, and showing murderers their hellish afterlife. As her stream goes viral, merit soars—but troubles hit: Detective Lin Shen suspects her of being a case insider and tails her; her Underworld rival reports her for rule-breaking, seeking harsher punishment; most shockingly, Lin Shen is her past-life crush, the Underworld Judge! Balancing live crime-solving for merit, evading police, fighting Underworld punishment, and pursuing past love, can Xiao Su earn enough merit in time, rise to become the Underworld's Queen, and win back her Judge?
