Su Xiaoman, freshly unemployed and hounded by debt collectors, mistakenly worshiped a century-old unmarked grave in a mass burial ground to turn her luck around. To her astonishment, the great-grandma in the grave suddenly manifested—wearing a floral blouse and holding a dragon-headed cane—insisting Xiaoman was “her own child” and forcing her to find her former lover Zhou Afu, or she’d “stick around” endlessly. Since then, Xiaoman’s life has been turned upside down: hot brown sugar eggs appear on her bedside every morning, and the great-grandma even turns young to stand up for her against rude clients at work. But when Xiaoman follows the clues to find Zhou Afu’s descendants, she uncovers a secret the great-grandma had hidden for 80 years—back then, it wasn’t a miss; Zhou Afu sacrificed himself to save her… In helping the great-grandma fulfill her last wish, Xiaoman regains the courage to face life and even sparks a romance with Lin Shen, an archaeology graduate student who helps her with the archives.
