Su Wanwan, a female physician, is forced to marry into the Zhenbei Hou Mansion for a "fortune-bringing" marriage to save her terminally ill father—her groom is Gu Zhaoye, who has been asleep for three years. Rumor has it that Gu was cursed while saving his beloved on the battlefield, trapped in eternal slumber. But when Wanwan tests medicines on him, she discovers Gu has brief moments of consciousness: he remembers the battlefield conspiracy and secretly hides her hairpin. It turns out the "little girl" Gu saved years ago is Wanwan herself, and his sleep is a shield to protect her from being hunted. However, as the truth unfolds, the curse's price emerges: either Gu sleeps forever, or Wanwan forgets all memories of him... Can they break the fate that binds them?
