Su Xiao, a medical student, goes to the countryside to fulfill her grandmother's last wish of providing medical care. Upon arriving at Taohua Village, she's labeled a "little fraud"—Sister Wang, suffering from severe lower back pain, would rather drink talisman water than let her perform acupuncture; Sister Zhang, who's had postpartum insomnia for half a year, scoffs, "What does a city丫头 know about postpartum suffering?" Until Su uses her grandmother's "Lingshu Acupuncture" to relieve Sister Wang's pain instantly and cures Sister Zhang's insomnia with ear acupuncture. The sisters-in-law's attitude does a 180: Aunt Li brings pickles, Aunt Zhao gives eggs, and even the village head Zhou Mingyuan comes to "consult"—but his eyes hold an unmistakable tenderness. When Su thinks she's just a "medical tool," she finds the sisters-in-law have secretly decorated a wedding room for her: "Our Xiao must stay and be one of us!"
