Su Wan, a concubine's daughter of the Minister's mansion who was framed and killed in her previous life, is reborn on the eve of her coming-of-age ceremony. To escape the disaster from her past, she hides in an alley late at night and picks up a "blind beggar" wrapped in rags with white silk over his eyes. She thinks she's saved a fragile soul, but the next day the capital is abuzz—The missing Uncle Rong has returned, and that beggar is exactly Rong Jingyuan, the powerful Imperial Uncle rumored to be "blind and ruthless"! What's more shocking? He's not blind at all! His peach-blossom eyes, hidden under the white silk, smile as he hooks her sleeve: "Wanwan, you promised to take care of me forever." Enemies from her past lurk, and this "black lotus" presses closer step by step. While Su Wan guards against his schemes, she can't help falling for his tenderness—turns out the most poisonous black lotus has long hidden sweetness in every "accidental" little touch.
