Ajiu, a little beggar who bears an uncanny resemblance to the Dragon Subduer Arhat, is mistakenly captured by a fairy boy and forced to pose as the "fake Dragon Subduer" in heaven. His mission: to redeem Ao Shuang, a dragon princess hell-bent on killing the Dragon Subduer to avenge her father. As they grow closer, Ao Shuang discovers this "imposter" has more humanity than real immortals—he begs for the starving, shields innocent goblins from thunderstorms, and even uses his mortal body to protect her from heavenly punishment.
