Lu Xiao, an art student, promised pianist Shen Muyan they'd reunite in deep autumn with a deer-shaped token. But the Shen family ran into sudden trouble, leaving Muyan missing for three years. Xiao stuck to her word, waiting under the ginkgo tree where they first met every autumn. Until a same-name art exhibition, she meets Muyan again: he's now an assistant to a blind pianist, can't recognize her, and is cared for by a doctor. Autumn wind blows ginkgo leaves, the deer-shaped token is still in Xiao's hand, and this unspoken reunion brings only deep sadness and uncooled waiting.
