In the era of raging famine, single mother Lin Xiao struggles to raise her seriously ill young son. To scrape together money for life-saving medicine, she scavenges through abandoned suburban markets for scrap that can be traded for food. A worn jade hairpin carved with star patterns suddenly glows brightly, dragging her into the ethereal immortal realm. Thinking she would starve to death in the heavenly corners, she unexpectedly finds that the so-called "trash" here are rare heavenly treasures and ancient immortal artifacts. Picking up a few pieces by chance, she amasses a fortune beyond compare in just one minute, with immortals flocking to befriend her. Yet what Lin Xiao misses most is her young son waiting for her back in the mortal world.
