Lu Jingchuan, a top investment banker, stood up his girlfriend Su Xiaotang at their wedding a year ago for a project, leading to their breakup. Now he's back, finding Su running a dessert shop with a caring younger guy around. Lu launches his 'get-her-back mission': buying out her favorite taro pudding every morning, helping at the shop in the afternoon, and waiting outside with hot cocoa at night. But Su 'tests' him—making him braid kids' hair, walk a neighbor's dog, even bake a cake 'that tastes like memories'. Amid their playful clashes, the old misunderstanding is revealed: Lu was actually saving Su's hospitalized dad that day but didn't get to explain. When Su bites into the chestnut cake Lu made—filled with their memories—the younger guy laughs and hands them a milk tea: 'I told you, your love is sweeter than any dessert I make.'
