Shen Qingtang and Gu Zhaozhao are sworn sisters who share a bond deeper than blood—one is the coldest assassin of the Vermilion Bird Pavilion, the other is the most beloved daughter of the Marquis Mansion. Until the Vermilion Bird Pavilion issues a death order: "Wipe out the Marquis Mansion." Shen Qingtang realizes the "traitor" she must kill is Gu Zhaozhao's father; meanwhile, Gu Zhaozhao already has a sword pressed to her back—she's long known her sister is an assassin. The blood moon reveals the crack in their sworn bond: between unshakable loyalty to the pavilion and the person she's protected since childhood, whose heart will their blades pierce?
