Wang Weisheng is reborn on his wedding night in 1963, only to realize his original self was forced to marry the village tyrant's daughter—a marriage that ruined him and led to his bitter death in his past life. Determined to change his fate, he climbs out the window to escape, but runs into Liu Yutong, an educated youth being harassed by hooligans at the village entrance. The two team up by chance, evading the tyrant's vengeance while using Wang's future memories to start a "vintage business": raising angora rabbits, selling paper-cuttings, and scraping out a living in the resource-scarce era. But as their relationship deepens, Liu learns of his identity as a "runaway groom," and the tyrant's revenge closes in... When a reborn "prophet" meets the warmth of the 1960s, can this "escape" become a "new life" for both?
