Zhizhi, a thousand-year-old lingzhi fairy who just took human form, sneaks down from Kunlun Mountain to complete her "tribulation task". Unexpectedly, she encounters Gu Yan, a top-tier actor haunted by evil spirits, in the city—she saves him with lingzhi essence in a hurry but exposes her fairy powers. Even more absurdly, Gu Yan becomes clingy after waking up: he insists on moving into her rental to "repay the favor" and always leans in to "stick around" when Zhizhi uses magic to hide her lingzhi ears or glowing fingertips, claiming it’s "to keep you safe". Until Zhizhi spots the cinnabar mole on Gu Yan’s neck—it’s the exact bloodstain from when she was stabbed back to her original form by a demon hunter in her past life! The clingy male god is her past-life foe who destroyed her? Her mortal journey of hiding her identity and avoiding his clinginess turns into a sweet tug-of-war with her former enemy.
