Lin Xiaoman, a breakfast stall owner in the urban village, supports her critically ill grandmother by selling soybean milk and fried dough sticks, but falls into despair due to forced eviction by developers. One day, Chen Mo, a stranger covered in injuries, breaks into her shabby hut, claiming to "hide from enemies," and is forced to stay and help with chores. They go from clashing fiercely to warming each other—Xiaoman teaches Chen Mo to make soybean milk, and Chen Mo helps her drive away harassing thugs. Just as Xiaoman thinks life is getting better, Chen Mo's "true identity" is exposed: he's the young master of the evicting developer! Caught between her grandmother's medical fees, her livelihood stall, and the "enemy" she's fallen for, how will Xiaoman choose? And can Chen Mo's hidden "rebellion plan" resolve this tangled web of good and evil, love and hate?
