Hua Tuo, the divine physician from the Eastern Han Dynasty, accidentally travels into Lin Jinming, an intern at a modern emergency department, due to an ancient book restoration accident. Forced to muddle through with "half-baked" modern medicine, he immediately offends Wang Zhaohe, the sharp-tongued surgical goddess—she hates "unorthodox" medical practices most. But when Wang's mother suffers from a strange illness that stumps Western medicine, Lin saves her with Hua Tuo's Mafeisan (ancient anesthetic) and acupuncture, reversing their relationship. As he solves more intractable diseases with ancient prescriptions, the hospital's academic faction questions his "illegal practice", and someone even uncovers his secret of "Hua Tuo's memories"... The collision between an ancient divine physician and modern medicine, and the healing love between bickering foes, begins now.
