Lin Chuan, an ordinary science geek, hides top-notch mechanical modification skills but is mocked as a "nerd" for his introversion. Until Su Wanwan, the campus belle, shows up—she wants to build a medical mecha to help her paralyzed brother walk again, but all labs dismissed this as "impossible." Touched by her persistence, Lin teams up with her, scavenging scrap parts for研发. Their partnership has clashes: Su's perfectionism annoys Lin, while Lin's unorthodox methods solve core problems surprisingly. When the mecha helps her brother take his first step, it's witnessed by a visiting scientific tycoon—this "grassroots counterattack" not only silences the doubters but also brings two once-parallel souls into each other's light.
