Lin Xiaoman, a rebellious senior two student who just drove her previous homeroom teacher to the hospital, gets a new teacher—Shen Qingtang, who’s surprisingly gentle. But when she’s surrounded by street thugs, Ms. Shen swings her lesson plan and knocks them flying—she’s not just a teacher! She’s a princess from the Great Yan Dynasty with acupoint skills and lightness kung fu! Shen Qingtang traveled to the modern world to find her missing brother, hiding as a teacher while struggling with “homeroom teacher rules”: grading papers till midnight, dealing with parent complaints, and mediating student conflicts. Xiaoman helps her cover up her identity while secretly investigating her “time-travel secret.” They go from “annoying each other” to having each other’s backs. But when clues about her brother surface and Shen Qingtang has to leave, Xiaoman realizes—she’s already considered this “kung fu master teacher” her closest family…
