Lin Yang, who returned home empty-handed after three years in Beijing, was shocked to find his once robust father had suddenly shrunk into a hunched old man, rambling about "helping him become the mayor's secretary." He dismissed it as dementia—until he was fired for offending a client, only to receive offers from top companies out of nowhere, even a recommendation letter for the mayor's secretary. It turns out his father was a retired business tycoon who had hidden his identity for a decade to escape enemies. Now, he's reactivating his old connections to help Lin Yang, but his illness could make him lose his memory at any moment. Lin Yang struggles between his pride of "not relying on connections" and his desperation to say "Dad" before his father forgets him.
