Li Ruoxun, a master woodcarver in an ancient town, closed his heart due to an unspoken past and dared not love again. Lin Qiunai, an illustrator seeking inspiration, accidentally broke into his studio, was drawn to his woodcarving “Butterfly on the Branch,” and even more touched by the tenderness hidden in his silence. As they grew fond of each other through woodcarving, they fell into a tug-of-war—Li’s withdrawal and Lin’s countdown to studying abroad. Can she decipher the “affection” he hid in the wood grain? Dare he catch the “waiting for you” she left in her sketchbook? A crush about “courage” quietly sprouts in the misty rain of the ancient town.
