Gu Zhao, a cultural relic restorer, accidentally awakens Tao Yao—a peach blossom spirit who has slept in an ancient painting for a millennium. Their bond unravels a past-life tragedy: once, Gu Zhao was a down-and-out painter who brought Tao Yao to life with his blood, and they stayed together until societal prejudice tore them apart. Now, Tao Yao has lost all memories. Gu Zhao must hide her spirit identity to keep her safe while helping her recover their shared past. But as the truth emerges, a millennia-old conspiracy creeps closer. Can they finish the love story cut short a thousand years ago?
