Su Wan runs "Moonlight Box", a dessert shop left by her grandma, insisting on making osmanthus glutinous rice balls with her grandma's recipe—all to keep the promise: "Moonlight will bring back the one you miss". Until Lu Shiyan, a cold antique restorer, breaks her grandma's moonlight porcelain bowl by accident. To their shock, the word "Shiyan" is carved at the bottom—he is the grandson of the person grandma waited for her whole life. Su Wan's warmth slowly melts Lu Shiyan's closed heart, but Lu's mother suddenly appears, yelling at Su: "Your grandma ruined my marriage with your grandpa!" Su Wan falls into self-blame, but Lu finds her under the moonlight, holding the restored bowl: "Grandma wasn't waiting for my grandpa's return—she was waiting to say sorry. But me? I've been waiting for you."
