B-list actress Lin Wan is ruined overnight by a smear that she "destroyed a wealthy man's marriage", losing all endorsements and being kicked out of the crew. Instead of giving in, she follows an anonymous surveillance clip to unearth the mastermind—her former best friend and manager Su Qing, who set a trap out of jealousy for her potential. Along the way, she teams up with Gu Chuan, a cold lawyer handling the wealthy man's dispute, going from bickering to fighting side by side. They debunk the smear with solid evidence and expose Su Qing's evil deeds. Lin Wan gains millions of fans with her real personality, counterattacks to become a top star, and even finds sweet love with Gu Chuan.
