Best friends Pan Yanan and Yao Jieru accidentally transmigrate into a Mary Sue novel, becoming the "cannon fodder supporting females" meant to highlight the female lead—one destined for imprisonment and torture by the villain, the other to be overshadowed by the male lead's white moonlight. To survive, Yanan takes the initiative to get close to the villain Ye Mo, only to discover that this rumored ruthless tycoon actually spoils her like a treasure: he gives her the most beautiful peonies in the imperial city, reverses the "supporting character must die" plot for her, and even threatens "whoever touches her dies" when she's targeted by the original female lead. On the other side, Jieru uses her modern mindset to turn her cannon fodder script into a "career-driven female lead" story. While dismantling the original plot's clichés, they enjoy the thrill of "counterattack + being spoiled". But when the novel world starts to "self-correct", can they hold onto their happiness?
