Shen Zhixue, daughter of a wrongfully convicted official, enters the palace as a maid and is assigned to guard the cold palace walls. On a snowy night, she meets Li Zhao, the third prince under house arrest—this man, accused of treason, hands her a warm stove when her hands are red with cold, and silently stands in front of her when she's bullied. Shen Zhixue originally planned to live with her family's hatred for the rest of her life, but gradually wavers for his tenderness. However, when the queen's poisoned wine is sent to the cold palace, and when Li Zhao's "treason evidence" turns out to be the old case that framed her father, the snow under the palace walls grows thicker and thicker. How will they protect the little forbidden warmth between them under the icy blade of power?
