Lin Chujin, a young Taoist from a hermit sect, is ordered by his master to find a "nobleman who can change his fate" and goes down the mountain. However, he mistakes Su Wan, a female CEO being chased by killers, for a "pengci (fraud) artist" at the train station and accidentally beats the killers away. To stay safe, Su Wan forces this "country bumpkin" to be her personal bodyguard. One is an unsophisticated "mountain boy", the other a frosty "business queen"—they bicker daily but redeem each other in crises: Lin saves Su's critically ill grandfather with ancient medical skills, and Su helps him uncover the ten-year-old secret of his sect. When the truth about the "fated nobleman" is revealed, they realize this "accidental encounter" is actually fate's long-planned arrangement.
